Last updated: 30 July 2026

[INTRODUCTION & SCOPE]

Unity Academy respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information processed through UnityPay.

UnityPay is the cryptocurrency payment system operated by Unity Academy for purchasing Unity Academy memberships, including VIP access to the Unity Academy Discord community.

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to payments processed through UnityPay. For the purposes of applicable data protection law, Unity Academy is the data controller responsible for personal information processed through UnityPay.

UnityPay does not collect or monitor Discord messages, trading activity, private communications, social media content or other information unrelated to processing payments.

[PAYMENT INFORMATION WE PROCESS]

UnityPay processes only information reasonably necessary to receive, verify and administer payments. This may include:

Cryptocurrency wallet addresses;

The cryptocurrency and blockchain network used;

Payment amounts;

Transaction hashes or identifiers;

Transaction dates, times and confirmation status;

UnityPay payment or order references;

The membership or access product purchased;

Records of failed, incomplete, duplicate or refunded transactions; and

Relevant accounting and transaction records.

Wallet addresses and blockchain identifiers may constitute personal information where they can be connected to an identifiable individual.

UnityPay does not intentionally collect special-category personal information through its payment process.

[REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY]

Payment information may be obtained:

Directly from the cryptocurrency transaction you initiate;

From the relevant blockchain or distributed ledger;

From payment, wallet or blockchain infrastructure used to verify the transaction; and

From Unity Academy’s internal payment and accounting records.

Certain transaction information is created automatically when a payment is submitted to a blockchain network.

[HOW & WHY WE USE INFORMATION]

Unity Academy may use payment information to:

Create, process and verify payments;

Confirm the payment amount, cryptocurrency, network and transaction status;

Activate the Unity Academy membership or VIP Discord access purchased;

Investigate failed, delayed, duplicate or incorrect transactions;

Process approved refunds;

Prevent fraud, misuse and unauthorised transactions;

Respond to payment enquiries or disputes;

Maintain financial, accounting and tax records; and

Comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

UnityPay does not sell payment information or use it for unrelated advertising or behavioural profiling.

Where UK data protection law applies, Unity Academy relies on:

Contract: to process your payment and provide the membership or access purchased;

Legal obligation: to maintain or disclose records where required by law; and

Legitimate interests: to operate a secure payment system, prevent fraud, resolve disputes and protect Unity Academy’s systems and legal rights.

[BLOCKCHAIN TRANSACTIONS & AUTOMATED VERIFICATION]

Cryptocurrency transactions are generally recorded on a public blockchain or distributed ledger. Information such as wallet addresses, transaction hashes, amounts, timestamps and transaction status may be publicly visible.

Public blockchain records may be accessible worldwide, copied by network participants and permanent or extremely difficult to alter or remove.

Unity Academy does not control public blockchain networks and cannot erase or amend information already recorded on them.

UnityPay may automatically check blockchain information to confirm whether:

A payment has been submitted;

The correct amount and cryptocurrency were used;

The transaction has received sufficient confirmations; and

The payment can be marked as completed.

Payments that cannot be verified automatically may be reviewed manually.

You should not include names, email addresses, Discord usernames or other unnecessary personal information in publicly accessible transaction fields.

[SHARING & INTERNATIONAL PROCESSING]

Unity Academy does not sell or rent payment information.

Payment information may be shared where reasonably necessary with:

Blockchain networks, nodes and validators;

Cryptocurrency payment, wallet, hosting or infrastructure providers;

Accountants, auditors, legal advisers and other professional advisers;

Fraud prevention or security providers;

Courts, regulators, tax authorities or law-enforcement agencies where legally required; and

A purchaser or successor organisation as part of a legitimate business sale or restructuring.

Cryptocurrency blockchains operate internationally. Transaction information may therefore be accessed, processed or replicated outside the United Kingdom.

Unity Academy may also use service providers located outside the United Kingdom. Where required, appropriate legal safeguards will be used for international transfers under Unity Academy’s control. Unity Academy cannot control independent participants operating on public blockchain networks.

[DATA RETENTION]

Unity Academy retains off-chain payment and transaction records only for as long as reasonably

necessary to:

Provide and administer the purchased membership;

Maintain accounting and tax records;

Investigate fraud or payment disputes;

Meet legal obligations; and

Establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

Payment and accounting records may normally be retained for up to six years where required for accounting, tax or legal purposes. Records no longer required will be securely deleted or anonymised where reasonably possible.

Information recorded directly on a public blockchain may remain publicly accessible indefinitely and cannot be deleted or altered by Unity Academy.

[DATA SECURITY]

Unity Academy uses reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect off-chain payment information against unauthorised access, unlawful use, accidental loss, alteration, disclosure or destruction.

These measures may include access controls, secure authentication, encryption, wallet-security procedures and restricting information to authorised personnel.

No payment or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting your cryptocurrency wallet, private keys, recovery phrases, devices and account credentials. Unity Academy will never ask you to disclose your private key or wallet recovery phrase.

[YOUR DATA PROTECTION RIGHTS]

Depending on your location and the circumstances, you may have the right to:

Request access to personal information held about you;

Request correction of inaccurate information;

Request deletion or restriction of certain information;

Object to processing based on legitimate interests;

Request the transfer of information you provided; and

Complain to the relevant data protection authority.

These rights are not absolute. Unity Academy may need to retain transaction information to meet legal, accounting or tax obligations or to deal with legal claims.

Unity Academy cannot alter or delete information recorded on a public blockchain.

To exercise a privacy right, contact Unity Academy using the details below. Unity Academy may request reasonable information to verify your identity and locate the relevant transaction.

[THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND CONTACT INFORMATION]

UnityPay may interact with third-party blockchains, wallets, exchanges and payment infrastructure providers. These third parties may process information independently under their own privacy policies and terms.

Unity Academy is not responsible for the privacy practices, security or operation of independent third-party services or public blockchain networks. You should review the privacy information of any wallet, exchange or other service used to make a payment.
